You and another driver stop at a four-way stop at the same moment. The other driver is on the cross street to your left. Who should go first?
A has stopped on the right of B at a four-way stop. The two vehicles are shown as arriving together.
Correct answer: You, because the driver on the left yields to you
Why
At a four-way stop, the first driver to stop goes first. When two drivers stop at the same time, or when you are unsure, the driver on the left yields to the one on the right. Wyoming law uses the same left-yields-to-right rule for vehicles that reach an intersection at about the same time. The law only tells who must yield, so make sure that the other driver is waiting, and never insist on the right-of-way.
