Passing target: 80% (24/30)
You plan to turn left at an intersection with no signs or signals. A car comes from your right, and another car comes toward you from straight ahead. All three of you arrive at about the same time. Whom must you yield to?
A approaches an uncontrolled intersection intending to turn left. B approaches from A's right, and C approaches from straight ahead; the card states that they arrive together.
Correct answer: Both cars: the one on your right and the one coming toward you.
Why
With no signs or signals, the driver on the left yields to the driver on the right when both arrive at about the same time. A driver who turns left must also yield to oncoming vehicles that are close enough to be a hazard. Any vehicle that is already in the intersection has the right-of-way. The law only says who must yield, so always be ready to stop for a driver who does not yield.
