Weather, Visibility & EmergenciesStandalone practice
Your car has working anti-lock brakes and you need an emergency stop. How should you use the brake pedal?
Correct answer: Press firmly and hold it while you steer.
Why
With working ABS, keep firm pressure on the brake pedal and steer as needed. Pedal pulsing can mean the system is working. Do not pump or release the pedal simply because it pulses. Follow the vehicle’s instructions; this differs from a failed service-brake response.
