Why should a driver avoid cutting closely in front of a large truck?
Passenger car A is ahead of tractor-trailer B in the same lane.
Correct answer: The truck needs much more distance to stop, and the lane change removes that space.
Why
Leave a large truck a generous stopping gap before returning to its lane. The Georgia handbook says to see the entire front of the truck in your rear-view mirror. A bumper barely past the cab is not enough room; move over only when the full maneuver is safe.
