Sharing the RoadStandalone practice
A bicyclist is ahead along the right side of the roadway, and you intend to turn right just beyond the rider. What is the safer plan?
Blue car A approaches a right turn. Cyclist B is ahead in the same-direction bicycle lane along the right side.
Correct answer: Stay behind and let the rider clear the turn first
Why
If your right turn is immediate, remain behind the bicycle and turn only after the rider is clear. Look again for a bicyclist approaching from behind before crossing a bike lane. Do not assume that passing a bicycle gives you priority to cut across its path.
