Passing target: 85% (34/40)
On a two-lane, two-way road, the vehicle ahead is making or about to make a left turn. When may you pass it on the right?
A close view shows silver vehicle B below a broken yellow centerline, facing right with its left indicator lit. The card says B is preparing to turn left. The right roadway edge and the passing space are outside this view.
Correct answer: If you can pass safely without leaving the roadway
Why
A vehicle making or about to make a left turn is one permitted case for passing on the right. You still need enough clear roadway, must check for road users and must not drive off the roadway. A turn signal alone does not make an unsafe pass legal.
