You are turning left between two two-way roads, each with one lane in each direction. No signs direct a different course. Which path is correct?
A blue car approaches a left turn between two roads with one lane in each direction. The centerlines have two yellow stripes, and the question card gives no selected turn path.
Correct answer: Start near the center line and end right of the new road’s center line.
Why
On this two-way approach, use the portion of the right half nearest the center line. After entering the intersection, complete the turn to the right of the receiving road’s center line; whenever practicable, pass to the left of the intersection’s center. This example has one receiving lane in your direction. It does not create a universal nearest-lane rule for every multilane destination, and official turn-course controls may differ.
