After an overnight snowfall, you scrape a clear patch on the windshield and on the driver's window. Snow and ice still cover the hood, the other windows, the headlights and the taillights. What should you clear before you drive?
Correct answer: The hood, every window and every light, so that you can see out and other drivers can see you.
Why
Snow and ice that you leave on the car cause trouble after you start to move. Snow from the hood can blow over the windshield, and covered lights hide your brake lights and turn signals from other drivers. Also make sure that your washer fluid contains antifreeze, so that it does not freeze on the glass. A few extra minutes with a brush and a scraper give you a full view and make your vehicle easy to see.
