Intersections & Right-of-WayStandalone practice
You are in the middle of an intersection, waiting to turn left on a green light. A fire engine with its siren on and lights flashing comes up behind you. What should you do?
A is in an intersection waiting to turn left at a green signal. Fire engine B approaches from behind with flashing lights; the card states that its siren is on.
Correct answer: Clear the intersection, then pull over to the right and stop until it passes.
Why
Montana law requires you to yield when an emergency vehicle uses its siren or emergency lights. Follow any instructions from its loudspeaker. In a roundabout, do not stop in the circle: exit first, then pull over where there is room.
