The highway ahead is covered with ice, and you cannot avoid driving on it. How should you adjust your speed?
Correct answer: Slow to a crawl, and stay off icy roads whenever you can.
Why
Ice leaves your tires with very little grip, so stopping and turning take much longer. Look for ice first on bridges, overpasses, and shady spots, which freeze first and dry last. Ice that is near the freezing point is wet and even more slippery than ice on a much colder day.
