Traffic Signals & Road MarkingsStandalone practice
You are driving on a street with signals mounted over each lane. The signal above your lane changes from a green downward arrow to a steady yellow X. What should you do?

Correct answer: Move out of that lane as soon as you can do so safely.
Why
Lane-use signals are common on reversible lanes, which carry traffic one way at some times and the other way at other times. A green downward arrow means you may drive in the lane, and a steady red X means you may not. Reversible lanes are usually marked with double broken yellow lines, so check the signals before you enter them.
