On the interstate, you drive in the lane to the right of a tractor-trailer, level with the middle of the trailer. Traffic is light. What should you do?
A travels in the lane to the truck’s right, level with the middle of the trailer. Traffic around both vehicles is light.
Correct answer: Pass the truck or drop back, so you do not stay in its side blind spot.
Why
No-Zones are the areas around a truck or bus where a car disappears from the driver's view or is too close for the driver to stop or steer safely. The blind spots on each side of a truck are much larger than a car's, so the truck may change lanes without seeing you. Spend as little time as possible beside a large vehicle, and never linger in a No-Zone.
