Traffic on the interstate is heavy. The lane next to you seems to move a little faster every few minutes. What is the safest choice?
Correct answer: Stay in your lane and change lanes only when you need to pass or exit.
Why
Every lane change is a chance for a crash: a car may be in your blind spot, or another driver may move into the same space. Weaving from lane to lane also makes other drivers brake. When you must change lanes, signal, check your mirrors and blind spot, and move only into a safe gap.
