You are loading a utility trailer with heavy tools and some light boxes. How should you arrange the load?
An empty open utility trailer is shown before heavy tools and light boxes are loaded.
Correct answer: Put the heavy tools low, balance the weight from side to side, and tie everything down.
Why
A high or uneven load makes a trailer handle badly and raises the risk of a rollover, especially in turns and quick swerves. Overloading also makes steering, braking and speed control harder, and it increases your stopping distance. To help prevent a rollover, keep the cargo low and take turns slowly.
