You are waiting to turn left. An oncoming motorcycle has its right turn signal on, but it is not slowing down, and the rider is not leaning into a turn. What should you do?
Blue A plans a left turn at an intersection while oncoming motorcycle B signals right. No right turn is already shown.
Correct answer: Wait until you are sure what the rider will do, because the signal may have been left on.
Why
A motorcycle looks smaller than a car, so it can seem farther away and slower than it really is. That makes a left turn in front of one especially risky. Wait for clear clues, such as the rider slowing, turning the head to look, or starting to lean, before you trust the signal.
