You see a fluorescent yellow-green sign with five sides. It shows two people walking. What does it tell you?

Correct answer: A school zone or school crossing is ahead, and children may be near.
Why
In Nevada, the speed limit is 15 mph in a school zone and 25 mph in a school crossing zone. Since July 1, 2026, the local government or NDOT sets when these limits apply, and the sign shows the hours or says 'when children are present,' or a flashing yellow beacon shows that the limit is in effect. While the zone is active, you may not pass another vehicle, you may not make a U-turn when children are present, and traffic violations carry an extra penalty and double demerit points.
