Regulatory, Lane & Parking SignsStandalone practice
You missed your street and want to reverse direction. At the next intersection, a sign shows a black U-shaped arrow inside a red circle with a red slash. What should you do?

Correct answer: Continue, and turn around another legal way, such as driving around a block
Why
A red circle with a red slash over a symbol means that the action shown is prohibited. Even where no sign is posted, New Hampshire law bars turning around on a curve or near the top of a hill where drivers coming from either direction cannot see you within 500 feet. Before any U-turn, check for signs that prohibit it and make sure you have room and a clear view.
