Which description of edge lines, the lines along the outer edges of the road, is correct?
A and B face the same direction in separate lanes of a one-way roadway. A broken white line divides the lanes; the question diagram deliberately omits the outer edge paint.
Correct answer: White at the right edge; yellow at the left edge of a one-way road.
Why
Yellow lines normally mark your left side: a center line with oncoming traffic beyond it, or the left edge of a one-way road. White lines mark the right edge of the road and separate lanes that go the same way. Edge lines also help you keep your lane at night and in bad weather, when the road edge is hard to see.
