Turns, Lanes, Passing & MergingStandalone practice
You missed your street on a two-lane road and plan to turn around with a three-point turn. Where may you make it?
Correct answer: On a straight stretch with a clear view of 500 feet each way and no traffic.
Why
A three-point turn leaves your car across the road for several seconds, so other drivers must be able to see you in time. Start from the right edge, signal left, and stop a few inches from each curb or road edge as you go forward, back and forward again. If the turn would hold up traffic, drive around the block or take the next safe turn instead.
