Warning, Construction & Information SignsStandalone practice
You are on a two-way road and see this yellow diamond sign. What should you expect ahead?

Correct answer: The road will be divided; stay right of the median.
Why
The divided highway sign warns that a median or barrier will soon separate the two directions of traffic. New Mexico law requires you to drive only on the right-hand roadway and to cross the median only at an opening, crossover or intersection. The divided highway ends sign looks similar but warns of the opposite: the median ends and traffic will move in both directions on one roadway.
