Turns, Lanes, Passing & MergingStandalone practice
The driver of the car ahead of you holds the left arm out of the window, bent at the elbow, with the hand pointing up. What does this driver plan to do?
Viewed from behind, a driver’s left upper arm extends sideways and bends at the elbow, with the forearm and fingers pointing upward.
Correct answer: Turn right
Why
Drivers give hand signals from the left side of the vehicle, for example when the signal lights do not work. Like a signal light, a hand signal for a turn must be given at least 100 feet before the turn. A bicyclist may also show a right turn by holding the right arm straight out to the right.
