Turns, Lanes, Passing & MergingStandalone practice
You drive on a two-way street and will turn left onto another two-way street. Which path is correct?
Two unoccupied two-way streets meet. The card states an intended left turn from the left approach; the image shows no vehicle position or turn path.
Correct answer: Start just right of your center line, and end just right of the new street's center line.
Why
Where you can, make the turn to the left of the center of the intersection, so that you do not block oncoming drivers who also turn left. Look for traffic that comes toward you and in the lanes that you will cross. After the turn, you may move to another lane when it is safe.
