Passing target: 80% (24/30)
You drive on a two-lane highway where the center line is two solid yellow lines. A slow pickup is ahead of you, and no traffic is coming toward you as far as you can see. What do the center lines let you do?
A follows a slow pickup B on a two-lane road with double solid yellow center lines. The opposing lane is empty.
Correct answer: Cross them only to make a left turn, so you stay behind the pickup for now.
Why
Road authorities use no-passing markings where a pass is especially dangerous, so the empty road that you see can change quickly. Stay behind the slow vehicle with a safe gap until a broken line appears on your side of the center. When you cross the lines for a left turn, you must still yield to oncoming traffic.
