Before your road test, an examiner inspects the car that you brought. Which problem will stop the road test until it is fixed?
Correct answer: The mirrors show the driver only about 100 feet of the road behind the car.
Why
Keeping your vehicle safe to drive is part of the driver's duty. The road-test car must be registered, and the examiner checks that these items work: the brakes; headlights (both high and low beam), taillights, brake lights, and turn signals; the exhaust and muffler, with no leaks; the doors; a horn that others can hear 200 feet away; mirrors that show 200 feet of road behind; seat belts; wipers; and a windshield and windows with no cracks that block the view. North Dakota law sets the same 200-foot mirror and horn rules for every vehicle on the road.
