You parallel park at the right curb of a two-way street. Which parked position is legal in Ohio?
A travels on the right side of a two-way street before parallel parking at the right curb. No final parked position or curb-distance measurement is selected in the question image.
Correct answer: Facing the same way as traffic on your side, parallel to the curb, with the right wheels 10 inches from it
Why
A car that is parked close to the curb leaves the full travel lane for moving traffic and bicyclists. A car that faces the wrong way had to cross the traffic lane to park there, and it must cross it again to leave. On a one-way street you may also park at the left curb, within 12 inches, where local rules allow it.
