Intersections & Right-of-WayStandalone practice
Your light is green, but traffic on the far side of the intersection is stopped and backed up. If you enter now, your car will have to stop inside the intersection. What should you do?
A faces a green light before a marked intersection. B and C are stopped beyond the far crosswalk, leaving too little room for A’s entire car.
Correct answer: Wait before the crosswalk until there is room for your car beyond it
Why
A car stopped in the intersection blocks cross traffic and pedestrians when the light changes, and it can cause a crash or gridlock. Look ahead before you enter any intersection, and make sure that the space on the far side is large enough for your whole car.
