Parking, Reversing & Roadside StopsStandalone practice
You find a curb space on a city street. A stop sign stands at the side of the road just ahead. Unless a sign allows it, what is the closest distance to the stop sign at which you may park?
A is beside open curb space before a STOP sign at the next corner. No sign allows closer parking, and the question gives no distance or parking verdict.
Correct answer: 30 feet before it
Why
A car parked close to a stop sign or signal can hide the sign from other drivers and hide cross traffic from you. Other Oklahoma limits are 15 feet from a fire hydrant, 20 feet from a crosswalk at an intersection and 50 feet from the nearest rail of a railroad crossing.
