Passing target: 16 correct signs and 16 correct rules (TLA practice targets)
You are towing a trailer more slowly than the normal traffic flow. You are not passing or preparing to turn left. Which lane should you use where practicable?
A blue pickup labelled A tows a white trailer in the middle of three lanes travelling right. The card says A is slower than normal traffic and is not passing or turning left. No target lane is marked.
Correct answer: The right-hand lane, unless signs direct otherwise.
Why
A vehicle moving below the normal traffic speed must use the available right-hand lane where practicable. Passing and preparing for a left turn are among the exceptions. Towing a trailer does not by itself impose a universal far-right-only rule; obey any additional applicable lane restrictions.
