Passing target: 80% (28/35)
You drive on a two-lane road with double solid yellow center lines. You want to turn left into a driveway on the other side of the road. What may you do?
A approaches a driveway on the opposite side of a two-lane road. Two continuous yellow center lines extend across the driveway mouth, and the oncoming lane is empty. The driveway is labeled without a turn path.
Correct answer: Turn left across the lines after the oncoming traffic has cleared.
Why
Signal before you slow down so that drivers behind you know that you plan to turn, and wait in your own lane for a safe gap. The same rule lets you turn left out of a driveway across these lines. When you come out of a driveway, stop first and yield to vehicles and pedestrians.
