Passing target: 80% (28/35)
You drive on a narrow two-way county road that has no painted center line. A pickup comes toward you. What must you do?
A travels west toward eastbound pickup B on a narrow county road without a painted center line. The question shows the unmarked traveled surface and the approaching vehicles, with no route or road-width division.
Correct answer: Keep to the right and give the pickup at least half of the road
Why
On a road that has one lane or less for each direction, each driver passes oncoming vehicles on the right and gives them at least half of the main traveled part of the road, as nearly as possible. A missing center line does not remove this duty. Slow down on narrow roads, especially near curves and hilltops, where you can meet another vehicle with little warning.
