Passing target: 80% (28/35)
At night, an oncoming driver keeps the high beams on, and the glare makes it hard for you to see. What should you do?
From the driver’s windshield at night, oncoming B remains in the opposite lane with high-beam glare spreading across the view. The right edge line is visible but not highlighted in the question image.
Correct answer: Look a little to the right, at the road edge or fog line, until the vehicle passes
Why
At night you can see only as far as your headlights reach, so glare hides hazards quickly. A look toward the right edge line lets you hold your lane while your eyes stay adapted to the dark. Slow down if the glare continues. Also check that your own headlights and lenses are clean, and watch for pedestrians and bicyclists, who are harder to see at night.
