Traffic Signals & Road MarkingsStandalone practice
You approach an intersection in Québec facing a flashing red light. What must you do?

Correct answer: Stop fully, yield, then proceed when safe.
Why
At flashing red, stop completely. Yield to road users entering the intersection and to approaching traffic close enough that your movement could cause a collision. Once the way is safe, proceed carefully. A flashing red signal does not allow a rolling stop and does not require waiting indefinitely for green.
