You are approaching a curve on a slippery road. When should you make the main reduction in speed?
Correct answer: Before the curve, while the vehicle is still travelling straight.
Why
Reduce speed before reaching a slippery curve. Ease off the accelerator and, if braking is needed, do it smoothly while travelling straight. Enter slowly enough to preserve grip for steering, and keep any later speed or steering adjustments gradual. Slippery surfaces also call for extra following space. Do not rely on a sudden mid-curve correction to make up for entering too fast.
