Passing target: 20 correct signs and 20 correct rules
Heavy rain begins and the road becomes slippery, but you can still continue safely at a reduced speed. How should you use the controls?
Correct answer: Slow down and make only small, gentle movements with the controls.
Why
Heavy rain calls for lower speed and small, gentle control inputs. Abrupt braking, acceleration or steering can reduce control when grip is limited. Keep headlights and tail lights on and use low beams. If you have slowed down and still cannot see 12 seconds ahead, find a safe place to get off the road. This lesson tests smooth vehicle control while continued driving remains safe; it does not advise pressing on through visibility that is too poor.
