Passing target: 80% (24/30)
It is noon, and heavy rain makes you run your windshield wipers all the time. Which lights should you use?
Blue car A travels on a two-way road in heavy daytime rain. Rain streaks cross the wet roadway, and the card states that the windshield wipers run continuously. No headlight choice is marked.
Correct answer: Low-beam headlights, so that you can see and other drivers can see you
Why
South Carolina also requires lights when weather makes it hard to see people and vehicles 500 feet ahead. The wiper rule does not apply when you use the wipers only now and then in a light mist. Some vehicles also have fog lights that you can use in fog, rain or snow.
