On a snow-covered street, you pull away from a stop sign and must stop again at the next corner. Which technique does the manual support?
Correct answer: Press the gas gently so the wheels do not spin, and brake early and steadily.
Why
Starting too fast can spin the drive wheels, especially on slippery surfaces. Look far ahead so that you know early when you must stop; sudden stops are dangerous and make it hard for drivers behind you to stop. In winter, drive well below the posted limit.
