Passing target: 80% (32/40)
You are on a busy two-lane city street, and you drive past the side street where you meant to turn right. What should you do?
Blue car A has passed a side street on its right; B follows and C approaches on the busy two-way road.
Correct answer: Drive on to the next street or place where you can turn around safely and legally.
Why
The manual says never to back into a travel lane, except when you back into a parallel parking space. Backing is harder than driving forward, because the car blocks much of your view and speed and direction are harder to control. The manual also says that backing up on the interstate is illegal: after a missed exit, go on to the next exit.
