Warning, Construction & Information SignsStandalone practice
You drive in the right lane of a road with two lanes in your direction. A yellow diamond sign shows two lane lines, and the right line bends in toward the left line. What should you do?

Correct answer: Signal and merge left at a safe gap, because the right lane ends.
Why
Merge early and smoothly; do not race to the end of the lane. Tennessee law lets you move out of your lane only after you make sure that the move is safe. In work zones, flashing arrow panels also tell you to merge into the open lane well before the closure.
