Passing target: 70% (28/40)
You drive on a two-lane road behind a slow truck. The center markings are a solid yellow line on your side and a broken yellow line on the other side. No oncoming traffic is in sight. What should you do?
Blue A follows a slow silver truck B on a two-lane road. The yellow centerline beside A is solid; the opposite-side yellow line is broken. The oncoming lane is empty, and no passing route or answer instruction appears.
Correct answer: Stay behind the truck, because the solid line on your side marks a no-passing zone.
Why
No-passing zones mark places where a pass is especially dangerous, for example where hills or curves limit how far you can see ahead. The marking on the other side can be broken because drivers in that direction have a longer view. A few minutes behind a slow vehicle cost less than the risk of a head-on crash.
