Correct answer: D. A speed that is advised for the curve ahead.
Why
This yellow plaque goes below a warning sign. It shows the advised speed for the condition that the sign warns of, such as a curve. Slow down to this speed or less before you enter the curve. In rain, snow, ice or poor light, you may need to go even slower. A speed limit is different: it is set by law and shown on a white rectangular SPEED LIMIT sign.
Why the other answers are not correct
- A. Wrong: a speed limit is shown on a white regulatory SPEED LIMIT sign, not on a yellow plaque.
- B. Wrong: a minimum speed is shown on a white regulatory sign with the word MINIMUM.
- C. Wrong: a truck speed limit is shown with a white SPEED LIMIT sign and a TRUCKS plaque.
