You have a minor crash on the freeway. No one is hurt, only the vehicles are damaged, and both cars can still move. They block a travel lane. What does Utah law allow?
Blue A and silver B are stopped in the right freeway travel lane after a minor crash. Silver C passes in the left lane. A wide paved shoulder is clear, and the card states that no one is hurt and both cars can move.
Correct answer: Move the vehicles out of the travel lanes to a safe place, then stay there
Why
At the safe place, give the other driver your name, address, vehicle registration number and insurance information. If anyone is injured or killed, the rules are stricter: stop and stay at the scene, give reasonable help and call law enforcement at once. Do not move a seriously injured person unless it is necessary to prevent more injury.
