Passing target: 85% (34/40)
You turn onto a ramp and see a red-and-white DO NOT ENTER sign and a red WRONG WAY sign facing you. What should you do?
Two signs stand side by side: a red circle with DO NOT ENTER and a white bar, and a red rectangle with WRONG WAY in white.
Correct answer: Slow down at once, pull over, and turn around with care
Why
DO NOT ENTER and WRONG WAY signs face drivers who are about to travel against the flow of traffic, often at ramps and one-way streets. Wrong-way driving puts you head-on with vehicles whose drivers do not expect you. Red reflectors on the pavement and white wrong-way arrows give the same warning. Act at once, because each second in the wrong direction brings you closer to oncoming traffic.
