Sharing the RoadStandalone practice
You drive on a two-lane road with no median. A school bus that comes toward you stops on the other side of the road. Its red lights flash and its stop sign swings out. What must you do?
A approaches a stopped oncoming school bus on an undivided two-lane road. The bus has flashing red lights and an extended stop arm.
Correct answer: Stop, and do not move until the bus moves on and no one is in the road
Why
Virginia law requires the stop on a highway, a private road or a school driveway, from whatever direction you approach. You must also stop when the bus is loading or unloading passengers and its signals are not on. Failure to stop for a school bus is reckless driving.
