Turns, Lanes, Passing & MergingStandalone practice
Two lanes turn left together at a signal. You are in the right one of the two left-turn lanes. The street you turn onto has three lanes in your direction. Which lane should you turn into?
A is in the right of two northbound left-turn lanes, beside silver B in the left lane. Three receiving lanes are visible.
Correct answer: The second lane from the left, which matches your turn lane
Why
The law says to turn into the lane nearest the direction you come from, unless signs or markings show a different path. With two turn lanes, pavement lines often guide each lane through the turn. Change lanes only after the turn is complete and it is safe.
