Passing target: 80% (32/40)
You turn right from a side street onto a road with two lanes in your direction. You plan to turn left into a driveway two blocks ahead. Where should you finish your right turn?
A is positioned before a right turn onto a street with two lanes in the receiving direction. No turn path is drawn.
Correct answer: In the right lane, then change lanes later when it is safe
Why
Washington law requires both the approach and the right turn to be as close as practicable to the right curb or edge of the road. When there are two turn lanes, stay in your lane through the turn so that you do not drift into another driver's path. Plan ahead: complete the turn, then signal, check your mirrors and blind zone, and move left in plenty of time for your next turn.
