Freeways & High-Speed RoadsStandalone practice
You drive on a freeway with three lanes in your direction. You just passed a slow truck in the left lane. You now drive at about the same speed as the traffic flow, and the lanes to your right are clear. Which lane should you use now?
A is in the left of three same-direction freeway lanes, ahead of truck B; the two lanes to the right are clear.
Correct answer: Move back to the right lane when it is safe
Why
When slower traffic keeps right, faster drivers can pass on the left, and traffic moves in a more predictable way. Keep to the speed limit even while you pass. Also remember that a carpool lane is not a passing lane.
