You approach a roundabout with two lanes. A lane-choice sign shows which lanes go to each exit. How should you use the lanes?
A neutral two-lane roundabout and approach are shown. No lane or route is selected.
Correct answer: Choose your lane before you enter, and stay in it until you exit
Why
Slow down as you approach, because roundabouts are designed for about 15 to 25 mph. Yield to traffic already in the circle, travel counterclockwise and leave space for large trucks, which may use both lanes and the truck apron. Stop for people in the crosswalks as you enter and exit.
