You are on an Interstate, and you drive past your exit by a few hundred feet. What should you do?
A travels in an Interstate through lane; the missed exit is off-frame behind A, a few hundred feet away as stated on the card. The diagram says Not to scale and has no selected movement.
Correct answer: Drive on to the next exit, leave there, and return by a safe route.
Why
A missed exit costs only a few minutes, but a car that backs up or cuts across to the ramp on a high-speed road can cause a serious crash. Watch the guide signs, which come well before each interchange, and move into the exit lane early. Never make a U-turn on an Interstate.
