You drive past the house that you want to visit. At the next intersection, a sign shows a black U-shaped arrow inside a red circle with a red diagonal slash. What may you do?

Correct answer: Do not turn around here; continue, and use other streets to return to the house
Why
Regulatory signs use a red circle and a diagonal slash to show a movement that is not allowed; the picture under the slash shows which movement. The same design is used for no-right-turn and no-left-turn signs, often where a turn is unsafe or leads onto a one-way street. A safe way back is to drive around the block or to turn around where it is legal. Even where U-turns are allowed, do not make one on a curve or hill where other drivers cannot see you from 500 feet away.
