You park facing downhill on a street with a curb. How should you turn your front wheels?
A is parked beside a curb, with a side-profile inset showing a downhill grade. No wheel setting is selected in the question image.
Correct answer: Toward the curb, and set the parking brake
Why
When you park on any grade, Wyoming law requires you to set the brake and turn the front wheels so that the curb or the side of the road can hold the car. Facing downhill, turn the wheels toward the curb: if the car rolls forward, the front tire stops against the curb. Facing uphill next to a curb, the manual tells you to turn the wheels away from the curb, so that the tire stops against the curb if the car rolls back.
